Freeman Alastair Adams, Managing Director of the British pen manufacturer Conway Stewart has sent the attached photo of one of their latest Limited Edition fountain pens. This one celebrates the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel designed in partnership with Great Western Railway Museum at Didcot.

Alastair mentions that the company makes many special edition pens to celebrate famous people including Alan Turing, Winston Churchill, Dylan Thomas, William Shakespeare, and Jane Austen.

As regular supporters of our Stationers Literary Lunches I am giving you advance notification of a Literary Event with a difference. In October at the world famous location, L’Escargot in Greek Street, Soho, where on Thursday 3 October from 6pm you can join us for a drink in the Snail Club followed by the Evening Standard Editor in chief  Dylan Jones speaking about his new memoir “These Foolish Things”.

Those attending will then enjoy a pre-booked two course dinner in the restaurant downstairs. The total cost will be £45.00 including a glass of wine or soft drink on entry. Further drinks and pudding ( plus Dylan’s book) will be available at an additional cost.
